Woodend Automotive Racing Team consist of Dave, Gemma, Garet, Jess and Ben a family racing team who compete in both Rallying and Motocross.

This team is run by Dave, Dave has had a long serving passion of Motorsport, in Rallying, Circuit Racing and Motocross dating back to the 1970’s. As a family, Dave, Gemma and Jess all competed in motocross during the 2000’s.

Dave returned to the rallying scene after a 20-year hiatus in 2016, where he was planning on just competing in club events after converting his daughters WRX into a rally car. His passion for rallying came back quickly and once Garet and Gemma became involved and “Woodend Automotive Racing Team” came to life. Dave still regularly competes at motocross events and is currently 3rd overall NZ Vets 60-65years old.

Being a family run racing team travelling away together along with the team from Woodend Automotive it a great chance to add to the social comradery of the team.

Racing under Woodend Automotive Racing Team they were able to make use of their state of the art workshop and wheel alignment facilities, as well as the automotive technicians joining them at rallies as the service team.

They have been given an amazing opportunity for 2018, Dave and Woodend Automotive Racing Team are not only supporting their dream of continuing their Rally Career, but Dave has also built them a 2008 Subaru WRX STI to use for 2018/2019. They cannot thank him enough for this opportunity and can’t wait to show their number 1 supporter what we can do
